Sunset at Penanjong Beach

These photos were taken at Penanjong Beach near our house. We went there to play kites. We took the opportunity to capture the beauty of the sunset at the beach. I really love these pictures.

Ellie and Sarah were playing in the water. To be in the water, they pretended to wash off the sand from their feet. Sarah really loves playing in the water.

Shahbandar Hill: My Perspective

Bukit Shahbandar Foerest Recreation Park spills over 70 hectares of undulating land close to the main Muara-Tutong highway. A network of well-maintained and signposted paths criss-crosses the area, and hill peaks and observation towers have panoramic views towards Muara, across Bandar Seri Begawan and over Jerudong. The most challenging and wildest trails in the capital can be found here. Plentiful wildlife can be sighted along the well-marked footpaths. This park is one of the most popular trekking trails among the locals and the expatriates alike.

The monkeys are a common sight at Shahbandar Hill. They are not scared with anyone. There are so many of them that sometimes joggers carry sticks with them in case the monkeys attack them.

The first hill usually is hard for a first timer.

Going down the hills sometimes is hard especially during the rainy season.

I think this is the toughest to climb, even more during rainy season.

Sometime this area is a bit eerie, especially in the late afternoon. I never run alone here.

This is a small stream .

This is just like part of the Great Wall of China. Some joggers take the short cut to avoid this hill. I think missing this part makes the exercise incomplete.

The observation tower is a must for a first time visitors. From here, we can a panoramic view of the South China Sea as well as the Empire Hotel and Country Club

The concrete steps are found after passing the observation Tower.

This is a man-made lake found at the park. Fishing is not permitted here, eventhough there are many kind of fish in the lake.
